YSRC dubs Vision-2047 as new TD Raaga
Vijayawada: Former minister and YSRC senior legislator Perni Venkataramaiah alias Nani has dubbed Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s Vision-2047 as a new Raaga to deceive public.
He wanted Naidu to first answer what happened to his Vision 2020. None of his visionary projects could be completed. “Do you have the courage to say that you have completed one project,” Nani asked, underlining that Vision 2047 is a bait for 2024 elections. Such magical visions and fortune-telling do not work in reality, he maintained.
Speaking to reporters, the senior legislator said Naidu has no other vision except looking for publicity. He asked the former chief minister to name one scheme that turned out to be visionary during his rule as CM for 14 years. He wondered what is the use of vision, which cannot support and develop the poor.
Referring to TD chief saying that his vision is to reduce electricity charges once Telugu Desam comes back to power, he recalled that three people had been shot dead in the heart of Hyderabad when they had been protesting for reduction in electricity charges during Naidu’s rule. He held Chandrababu responsible for increasing the debt of the electricity department from ₹20,000 crore in 2014 to ₹80,000 crore in 2019.
Nani asked why Naidu, despite his long rule, did not start and complete even a single project in the state. He said, “Naidu is currently 75 years old. Now, he is saying Vision-2047. “Will his vision exist till 2047,” he asked.
The former minister said 108, 104 and Aarogyasri are the vision of Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. There is not a single scheme or project that can be credited to Naidu.
“Naidu did not construct a single medical college despite being in power for 14 years. But young Jagan started construction of 17 medical colleges within three years of his rule. Of them, five colleges will start from this academic year itself.
“Jagan’s vision is already helping public, state and society. There is no use of Naidu’s vision,” he remarked.
