MK Stalin hails BJP Raja's defeat in Scouts and Guides president election

Chennai: DMK working president M.K. Stalin on Saturday charged the state government headed by Edappadi K. Palaniswami with running a government subservient to the BJP government.
Besides, he also congratulated former director of school education Mani, who defeated BJP national secretary H. Raja in the elections for the leadership of Tamil Nadu Scouts and Guides and described the result as a victory of service mindedness over political power.
Speaking to the media, he said the Union government is imposing Hindi and Sanskrit and the state government is praising such a central government. He also said the Palaniswami government had stopped funds for Classical Tamil development, besides the Adi Dravida department.
When asked about BJP state president Tamilisai Soundarrajan's remarks that DMK leader M. Karunanidhi would have supported Neet if he was active in politics, Stalin declined the make a comment saying that he would not answer to those making low grade comments.
He also said the state government is not worried about the problems of government staff and is keenly working on horse-trading. Stalin said the government should have invited the government employees for talks and created a cordial atmosphere instead of threatening them by issuing notices.
