Kurnool: Former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy expressed his dissatisfaction with the Ongole police regarding handling of the fake land documents case in Prakasam district.

Expressing displeasure with the police’s actions, Reddy surrendered his security personnel to the government as a mark of protest.

He also wrote a letter to the Director General of Police, raising his concerns and also emphasised on the need to arrest all people involved in the case, regardless of their political affiliations, stating that even members of the ruling YSRC should not be spared.

Reddy also voiced his disappointment with the police’s alleged indifference toward the real culprits in the case, stating that he had never encountered such a situation in his political career. He also described it as an unprecedented development in the last four years.

In the ongoing investigation into the fake land documents case, 10 people have been arrested in the district.

It may be recalled that Srinivas Reddy urged the Superintendent of Police, in the presence of the Collector, three days ago to ensure that nobody should escape from facing legal consequences.

Reddy alleged that the police are shielding some people, leading to his decision to surrender his security personnel in protest.
