VIJAYAWADA: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari accused the state government of paying more attention to raising loans than taking up developmental works.

Speaking to mediapersons in Guntur on Thursday, she alleged that YSR Congress government is not setting up industries and providing jobs to the unemployed and educated youth.

Purandeswari claimed it is the centre that is providing all help to residuary AP. It is implementing several welfare schemes for the benefit of poor.

She also listed out the funds provided by centre to AP, like ₹2,500 crore for developing the capital city, accorded permission for laying the Outer Ring Road for Amaravati at a cost of ₹20,000 crore, finalising the proposal to lay a road connecting Amravati to Anantapur at a cost of ₹28,000 crore, sanctioning funds for construction of the administrative building and research centre at N.G. Ranga Agricultural University and constructing AIIMS at Mangalagiri at a cost of ₹1,600 crore.

The AP BJP president criticised the state government for failing to provide even drinking water supply and relocating high tension wires.

She emphasised that the centre is committed to developing Amaravati as the capital city of AP. She flayed the state government for proposing to set up three capitals for Andhra Pradesh.
