Vijayawada: The YSR Congress Medical Wing has urged the state government to conduct a complete medical check-up on Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, preferably at the AIIMS, and recommend further treatment, if need be.

The leaders of YSRC-MW raised suspicion over the medical report on Naidu, given by private doctors, and alleged that “Naidu is trying to avoid investigation in the AP Skill Development scam case with the help of such medical reports.”

The medical wing state vice-president Dr Mehboob Sheikh said that, according to the report given by AIG doctors in Hyderabad, Naidu was suffering from heart disease and skin-related problems.

“Chandrababu's health condition in 2019 and the situation now are very different, as the report said the heart calcium has reached 900 to 1600, the heart is enlarged, an ambulance should be with him, the blisters on the skin have been sent for biopsy and it has to be determined whether this was cancer or not, and that, until then he needs to rest,” he quoted from the medical report.

“We have no doubts about the doctors but there are many doubts about Chandrababu's behaviour. Naidu got temporary bail for an eye operation, and underwent the operation. The time to return to jail again is approaching. It seems that there is a conspiracy to extend the temporary bail for some more time in the name of a heart disease and skin disease,” he said.

Dr Sheikh said Chandrababu has a habit to avoid punishment by manipulating the systems. “All of us know that Chandrababu's brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna was involved in a shooting case and he escaped from the case due to his mental condition. Till the other day, Naidu claimed that he can climb hills like a young man. Now, there is talk of heart disease and skin disease before the court to extend the temporary bail.”

“If the heart problem is so severe, he should be admitted to a hospital and treated instead of him remaining at home," she asked.
