BJP to learn from its bitter experience

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP leaders are gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections, and expressed the confidence that the party would do better next year.
The BJP had a bitter experience in the recent state elections, winning just one seat.
Before the Assembly election results, the BJP state leaders thought that the campaigns of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah would help the party win more seats than the five they won in 2014. Shockingly, the party lost its deposit in many constituencies.
Former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya said, “We are preparing for the Lok Sabha elections keeping in view, the experience of the Assembly elections. There is a lot of difference between the two.”
He also said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s Federal Front or the alliance being developed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would not work in national politics.
“Trying to strengthen the Congress, Mr Naidu has helped the TRS in the state. KCR’s Federal Front or Naidu’s alliance will not work in national politics. The BJP will win more than 300 Lok Sabha seats,” he said.
