Rohit Reddy challenges BJP chief to swear on his statement
HYDERABAD: A day after Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials served notices asking him to appear before the agency for questioning in the PMLA case, BRS MLA P. Rohit Reddy visited the Bhagyalaxmi temple in the Old City today and offered “special” prayers.
He also met Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan. Prior to
meeting the Chief Minister, Rohit Reddy, a key witness and complainant in
the MLAs poachgate case, blamed the BJP chief and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar for making baseless allegations against him. “How did the state BJP chief
announce that ED was serving notices on me even though I was never involved
in any drug case in Karnataka?” the BRS MLA asked.
“The ED served a notice asking me to appear before it by bringing individual
data. No FIR was registered against me in Karnataka. Why did the BJP chief
tell ED's action in advance?” the BRS party MLA raised a question.
Further, Rohit Reddy challenged Bandi Sanjay to come to the Bhagyalaxmi
temple along with any evidence related to the Karnataka drug case and swear
before the Goddess. “I am in Ayyappa Deeksha and do not make any false
statements. Bandi Sanjay must prove it after he made false statements,"
Rohit Reddy said.
