Hyderabad: TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to address 60 public meetings in the 16 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state during the party’s campaign for the general election.

Sources in the party disclosed that the party chief is planning to hold the TRS state committee meeting in the first week of March to finalise the party’s campaign strategy and prepare the state committee under the leadership of party working president K.T. Rama Rao.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had appointed party general secretaries to be in charge of parliamentary constituencies during the Assembly polls.
The TRS chief will appoint 88 elected MLAs and two MLAs who joined the TRS, as incharges of the 90 Assembly segments, and MLCs would be given charge of the other segments.
Sources disclosed that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has called up some of the party MLAs over the phone and sought their opinion on the election campaign.
They revealed that before the state committee meeting of the party, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to meet YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the political situation in AP and the stand of the YSRC with regard to Telangana state, and taking forward his idea of forming a non-BJP and non-Congress Federal Front at the national level.
