The BJP has high hopes of entering the state Assembly in good numbers this time.
Chennai: The BJP has alleged booth capturing by AIADMK members in Bodinayakanur constituency and demanded the election commission to take appropriate steps to debar the AIADMK candidate and also his party from contesting the poll.
In a memorandum submitted to the Electi-on Commission of India and Chief Electoral Officer here, D. They had “captured the booth no.74” on the midnight of May 15 and “cast votes.” The BJP members and other party workers who protested against this atrocious act were “brutally attacked.”
Following the incident at Soundeswari middle school near Bodinayakanur post office, the police officers held an inquiry and found that the seals of two EVMs were broken. “They also came to know that AIADMK city secretary A. C. Balamurugan, constituency in-charge Podhu Mani and municipal chairman Palaniraj were directly responsible for the illegal act,” Mr. Kuppuramu claimed and sought stringent action on them.
