G Sudhakaran denies peeping into VS Achuthanandan vote
Mr Sudhakaran said he would fight allegations legally.
Alappuzha: Former cooperation minister and Ambalappuzha LDF candidate G. Sudhakaran has rubbished reports that he had peeped into the voting enclosure while opposition leader V. S. Achuthanandan was casting his vote on Monday. He said he had not violated the code of conduct of the Election Commission as was alleged. "V. S., his son Arun Kumar and I had not done any mistake," he told reporters here on Tuesday.
"It was the police and the state government that violated the rules. They allowed all the people to enter the polling booth without any control. I am the LDF candidate and he came from Palakkad for casting his vote for me."
Mr Sudhakaran said he would fight allegations legally and that the media, including CPM mouthpiece Deshabhimani, were not in his favour and they deliberately attacked him. Alappuzha District Congress Committee (DCC) and Ambalappuzha UDF candidate Sheikh P. Harris had lodged complaints with the commission against him. DCC president AA Shukkoor said he filed a complaint along with video footage of Mr Achuthanandan casting his vote at the Government HSS, Paravoor.
