Chennai: The work on the Chennai Port — Maduravoyal Expressway will be resumed and the 19 km stretch of the elevated expressway will soon be extended by another 10 km, Union minister of state for road transport, highways and shipping Pon Radhakrishnan has said.

The Union minister while speaking at the 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan' here on Saturday, exuded confidence that the project would be completed without any hurdles.
Mr Radhakrishnan, who has been touring TN and addressing meetings on the three-year’s achievements of the Narendra Modi-government at the Centre, asserted that once the Enayam Port Project (in Kanyakumari district) is implemented, TN will become the first state to have four major ports.
