The Congress leadership has been collecting data of population and the weak and strong points of potential leaders
Adilabad: Political parties have started collecting community or caste-wise data in the Assembly constituencies and names of major aspirants for MLA and MP tickets in Adilabad district. Incidentally, this exercise is being undertaken by BJP, Congress and TRS, which all have started preparing the ground for the next elections.
The Congress leadership has been collecting data of population and the weak and strong points of potential leaders to consider their credentials before allotment of party tickets. The party has been bolstered by their successful protest rallies cross the state with Revanth Reddy doing so in Nirmal.
It is learnt that some leaders are in touch with Mulugu MLA Seethakka and are lobbying for their political future since she has close relations with Revanth Reddy.
Meanwhile, BJP is also preparing a list of likely candidates besides exploring the option of fielding its sitting MPs in the Assembly elections.
A Congress leader, who was trying for party ticket for Khanapur Assembly, said it was shocking that there are more number of ticket aspirants from Congress than what it was in the previous elections.
There is a huge infight in the TRS for the tickets in almost all Assembly constituencies, including among leaders from the same community like in the ST-reserved Boath, Asifabad and Khanapur, and rthose eserved for SCs in Bellampalli and Chennur and Adilabad parliament seat reserved for STs in the old Adilabad district.
Some of the Congress leaders are still continuing their relations and association with leaders who held positions in the Telangana Congress party without switching their loyalties.
