HYDERABAD: "The day TRS was renamed as BRS, K. Chandrashekar Rao lost all his credibility. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy joined the Congress party as he had lost faith in the BRS chief. On being made the campaign committee co-chairman of the Congress, he came and met me. We will work together and fulfil people’s wishes and our promises to them,” said former MP, V. Hanumantha Rao, after Srinivas Reddy visited him at his residence here on Monday

Later, speaking to the media, Srinivas Reddy said, “I thank AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Hanumantha Rao, A. Revanth Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarkaa and Madhu Yashki for giving me this position in the party. I will meet all the seniors and try to bring the Telangana sought by people.”

Commenting on K.T. Rama Rao’s comments against Rahul Gandhi, he said, “K. Chandrashekar Rao had claimed that he had earned more than ₹10 crore by cultivating capsicum. Then how come he has failed to make farmers millionaires? Rama Rao should look at his stature before calling someone like Rahul Gandhi names.”

Meanwhile, in a separate press meeting Hanumantha Rao informed that preparatory meeting of BCs will be held in Sangareddy, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad as a run-up to the BC garjana sabha.
