N. Chandrababu Naidu’s house gets AP’s vacate notice
Village revenue officer-1 S.V.V. Prasad reached Mr Naidu’s residence to hand over the notice issued by Tadepalli tahsildar G. Srinivasula Reddy.
Vijayawada: Guntur district authorities on Saturday served notices to people living in 32 residences along the Krishna river banks, asking them to vacate the premises in view of the rising floodwaters. One of the 32 houses is the residence of former chief minister and TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Village revenue officer-1 S.V.V. Prasad reached Mr Naidu’s residence to hand over the notice issued by Tadepalli tahsildar G. Srinivasula Reddy.
However, finding no one at home, Mr Prasad stuck the notice to the compound wall of the TD chief’s residence.
“We have issued notices to people living in the 32 houses on the riverbank. Since there was no one in the residence of the former chief minister, I stuck the notice to the wall,” Mr Prasad said.
Mr Srinivasula Reddy said that the notices were issued so that there is no threat to the people living in the 32 houses.
On Friday, TD leaders and activists staged a protest in front of Mr Naidu’s residence after they spotted a drone flying over the building.
While the TD men alleged a security threat, YSRC leaders said that it was part of an exercise to collect data of the river.
