HYDERABAD: Alleging that the state government has failed to disclose details of those who had purchased Kokapet and Budwel lands in the government's land auction, TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy said here on Friday that they were purchased by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's benamis and BRS leaders. He further alleged that the state government was creating a non-existent boom for Kokapet and Budwel land parcels.

BRS leaders have amassed so much wealth that they are investing up to '100 crore in purchasing an acre of land in the city while the poor people continue to languish in penury, the Lok Sabha member said.

Reddy said that his security personnel were deliberately removed by the state government in clear violation of court directives.

Blasting the tendency of some government officials to come up with political comments, Reddy said that the Congress will not remain silent if officials violate law and established norms like Prabhakar Rao, Bhujanga Rao, Radha Kishan Rao and Narsing Rao.

He regretted that even police officials were supporting the ruling party by registering false cases against Congress leaders and activists.

"I am the chief of the state unit of a national party and a sitting MP. The government has done away all my security personnel. I will never fear its moves. I will visit any place in Telangana without security. When Congress was in power, Chandrasekhar Rao enjoyed the best security cover. On becoming the Chief Minister, he has curtailed the security of Congress leaders. As a people's leader, I can go anywhere without security. Can Rao visit Osmania and Kakatiya universities without any security," he asked.

The state government has completely failed in honouring its promises. BRS and BJP enjoy a good rapport, he said.
