Visakhapatnam: Union minister of state for communications Devusinh Chauhan has maintained that the central government will respond on Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest at an appropriate time. He did not elaborate any further.

It may be recalled that state BJP president Daggubati Purandeswari has condemned the arrest, saying proper procedure has not been followed during the arrest.

The union minister was talking to reporters in Visakhapatnam after participating in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations at Panduranga Swamy Temple in Visakhapatnam and visiting the Sagarmala project on Sunday.

He said that he felt happy to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagvan Viswakarma and birthday of Narendra Modi in Visakhapatnam at the same time. The country under the leadership of Modi is leaping ahead under the slogan “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Viswas. BJP is ruling in 15 states and would extend its rule to more states in the ensuing elections, he maintained.

The union minister took on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao charging that BRS party is neck deep in corruption. He blamed some political parties and individuals for making irrational comments on Sanatan Dharma.

Speaking on G20, he said it became a great opportunity to highlight India’s culture and traditions, which would help promote international tourism.

Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, who was present on the occasion, said the central government has taken the decision to develop four cities in the country – Visakhapatnam, Varanasi, Mumbai and Surat.
