Kakinada: Kakinada Urban MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy on Sunday described the demonstrations by IT professionals in support of former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the US, Europe, Bengaluru and Hyderabad as ‘artificial and sponsored agitations’ orchestrated by the ‘Kamma’ community.

Naidu is presently lodged in a Rajamahendravaram jail, after he was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days for his alleged role in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam. He was arrested on September 9.

Chandrasekhara Reddy told the reporters here that after the arrest of Naidu there was no response in favour of him in the state, except for people from his community.

He advised the protesters to not call it “IT professionals protest” but the “Kamma community protests”.

He claimed that lakhs of youths got jobs in the IT sector because of late chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who introduced ‘fees reimbursement’ and other incentives to the students, in particular belonging to the downtrodden sections.

He said that it was not correct on part of the Kamma community to respond in favour of Chandrababu Naidu who was arrested with clear evidence.

He said that if the Kamma community behaves like this, there was a danger of them being socially boycotted.
He said the people’s response after the death of Vangaveeti Ranga and Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was “real”.
Chandrasekhara Reddy said after Nara Lokesh, son of Chandrababu Naidu, joined the Telugu Desam, corruption was rampant in AP.

He said Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was playing out dramas, shown by the fact that criticisms of TD on JS were not taken seriously by the party. The JS has announced a poll alliance with the TD.

Speaking about the Gadapa Gadapaku programme, Chandrasekhara Reddy expressed satisfaction and said it has given an opportunity to him for rendering a lot of good to the poor.

He appreciated the services of volunteers and secretariats to develop the city and reach the services to the door steps of the poor.
He said infrastructure facilities like drains, roads, culverts and others are being improved in all divisions in the city.
