Vijayawada: State BJP president Daggubati Purandeswari has affirmed that Jana Sena is the alliance partner of the BJP in AP. “There is nothing wrong in Pawan Kalyan explaining AP’s political situation to the BJP central leadership,” she said.

Purandeswari was responding to Pawan Kalyan's statement two days ago that his Jana Sena party will have an alliance with the TD for the next elections.

Talking to the media on the sidelines of a programme to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and mark Vishwakarma Jayanti. She said, "After PK explains the AP situation to the BJP central leadership, it will discuss matters with us and take a decision.  Jana Sena is still a part of the NDA.”

Responding to the arrest of TD chief Chandrababu Naidu in the multi-crore skill development corporation scam, Purandeswari asserted that it was the BJP that first condemned the arrest. The BJP, she said, had nothing to do with the arrest. "The CID, which filed the cases and arrested Naidu, reports to the state government.”

Purandeswari noted that BJP's cadre and party's Telangana leadership have also condemned the way Naidu was arrested without “due process” being followed.

“BJP is giving top priority to public service. The party is rendering many services to the weaker sections of the society. The BJP cadres will continue to serve the public,” she said.
