Goshamahal to be Gachibowli: KTR
Hyderabad: The BRS promised to transform Goshamahal into Gachibowli if voted to power, with party working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao asserting that the current BJP MLA for the constituency, D. Raja Singh, is neglectful and only focuses on fostering divisions between Hindu and Muslim communities.
Rama Rao further assured that upon the BRS' return to power, efforts would be made to restore the Osmania General Hospital building and initiate the revitalisation of the Musi River, including the construction of bridges.
Drawing a cricket analogy, he likened the BRS' anticipated success to cricketer Virat Kohli's record-breaking century in the World Cup cricket semi-final, predicting a win of 100 seats and a hat-trick for Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, like bowler Mohd Shami.
He criticised the Congress for allegedly fielding a weak candidate in Goshamahal, insinuating a strategy to ensure BJP's victory. Rama Rao also appealed to the Marwadi community to support BRS candidate Nandu Bilal, who shares their background.
Earlier in the day, Rama Rao addressed a BRS campaign meeting in Kamareddy, where Chandrashekar Rao is contesting, assuring that longstanding issues in the Kamareddy district would be resolved within two years if they secured a resounding majority.
He criticised Congress candidate A. Revanth Reddy, the TPCC chief, claiming that the party failed to fulfil its promise of six hours of power supply during its previous tenure and warned of a return to previous challenges like defunct motors and exploding transformers if Congress were to regain power.
