Raghuveera accuses Modi of destroying the nation
He questioned as to how much black money had been tracked down and how many had lost their jobs post demonetisation.
Vijayawada: APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the man who is destroying India. He, along with K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, C. Ramachandraiah, K. Bapiraju and other leaders gheraoed the SBI zonal office on Wednesday in protest against the ill-effects of demonetisation.
He questioned as to how much black money had been tracked down and how many had lost their jobs post demonetisation. He also criticised the TD leaders of being very busy with cockfights and recording dances while the public are suffering due to demonetisation.
Mr Raghuveera Reddy alleged that demonetisation is a big scam. He questioned as to how many had lost their lives due to demonetisation. He said Mr Narendra Modi has to answer the public on why they had not taken supportive measures prior to demonetisation announcement. He also demanded reduction of prices of the essential commodities, bonus to farmers and finally Union government has to bare the burden of loss incurred to the state treasury.
Mr Raghuveera Reddy criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of having to learn from the drunkards on cashless transactions and that he happy as the state is able to get its revenue as usual from the alcohol sales. He reminded that with demonetisation, 50 per cent of patients are not going to hospitals or clinics for treatment, while farmers are moving far away from farming.
Many marriages had been cancelled and small businessmen are witnessing 70 per cent losses. AICC secretary Kuntiya, former ministers, along with anti-demonetisation state level implementation committee chairman C. Ramachandraiah participated in the gherao programme.
