Congress wins Kodumur Mandal Parishat President
The position for Kodumur MPP fell vacant after the death of Kotla Vamsidhar Reddy.
Kurnool: It was jubiliation time at District Congress Committee office here as the party candidate for Kodumur Mandal Parishat President romped home with success.
Though it was a unanimous selection as rival TD abstained from voting, the election gave moral a boost to the Congress cadre, said former Union minister Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy. PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy congratulated Kotla for ensuring Congress’ victory.
The position for Kodumur MPP fell vacant after the death of Kotla Vamsidhar Reddy. Of the 19 MPTC members, only 13 were present of which five members belong to YSRC.
Sajid, an MPTC proposed the name of Raghunatha Reddy for the MPP position to the election panel headed by RDO Hussain Saheb and returning officer Adaiah.
As there was no opposition to Raghunath Reddy, the RDO said he was the winner. DCC president Laxma Reddy congratulated the winner.
