Adilabad: Community equations came to the fore following state cabinet expansion. There are speculations over MLAs getting a berth in the cabinet expansion scheduled for tomorrow.
Some aspirants are staying in Hyderabad and lobbying for a ministry. Three sitting MLAs are lobbying for berths under their respective community quota — Reddy, BC, and ST from old Adilabad district.
Former ministers Jogu Ramanna and Allola Indrakaran Reddy are again trying for a berth for a second term as they are senior MLAs in the district.
Government officers praying that these MLAs should not be inducted in the cabinet as they have had bitter experiences with them on the issue of bribes.
There have been no senior MLAs in the party with the party since its inception.
Nallala Odelu, Kaveti Sammaiah and Aravind Reddy are seniors in the TRS but Kaveti Sammaiah recently joined the Congress since he was denied a party ticket in the elections and Aravind Reddy returned to the TRS from the Congress when he was denied a party ticket.
Another senior former MLA Nallala Odelu was denied a party ticket which was instead given to Peddapalli MP Balka Suman who contested from Chennur and won the elections.
Srihari Rao of Nirmal is a senior TRS leader but he lost the elections twice. He is now aspiring for an MLC or chairman’s post of a corporation, considering his seniority. Jogu Ramanna joined the TRS from the TDP during the Telangana agitation.
