Take action against RGV, Nagarjuna VC for insulting women, VHR tells Jagan
HYDERABAD: Senior TPCC leader V. Hanumantha Rao demanded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to take action against Tollywood director Ramgopal Varma for abusing women. He also urged Reddy to take action against Acharya Nagarjuna university vice-chancellor Rajasekhar for supporting Varma.
Varma, a few days back, made objectionable comments on women at a programme.
"Ramgopal Varma called upon students to enjoy life saying that Ramba and Urvasi may not be there in heaven. By making such comments, Varma has insulted, abused abnd demeaned women. In his support, Rajasekhar said that Varma had more knowledge than a professor or a PhD scholar. The VC has provoked students to also make such comments against women," Rao said.
