DCC chief reveals fake vote details

Visuals of EC's own webcasting facility has been given as evidence.

Kozhikode: Revealing details of the bogus votes that were cast, DCC president K. Surendran said, “A member of Pinarayi panchayat who has her name in the voters’ list of booth number 133 also registered her vote in the 132 number polling booth.”.

“We have submitted 40 complaints to the Election Commission. No other evidence is  needed to expose the true colour of CPM,” he said.CPM member K. Nijeesh who has his vote in  booth number 125 also cast his vote in booth number 125, according to the complaint. “We have given the visuals of EC’s own webcasting facility as evidence,” Mr Hareendran said. “There are visuals in which one CPM member is seen trying to cast fake votes  eight times. We have just dug out a few cases and the search is on for more cases," he added.

Meanwhile, Mr K.K. Ragesh, campaign manager of Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, told this newspaper that the allegations were baseless. “The visuals were vague and there is nothing supporting the allegations levelled against us," he added.
