Kerala polls: CPM bogus vote' in Election Commission court

Kozhikode: Putting the CPM in a fix, the UDF has approached the Election Commission with the visuals of 21 CPM workers allegedly casting more than one vote in five polling booths of Dharmadam constituency where CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan is contesting.

The visuals were claimed to have been sourced from the live webcasting facility of the Election Commission. Mr T.P. Hareendran, election agent of UDF’s Mambaram Divakaran, submitted complaints to the district chief returning officer, state EC and Dr Nazim Zaidi, chief election commissioner.

DCC president K. Surendran told reporters on Wednesday that bogus votes were cast in booth number 122, 124, 125, 132 and 133 of Dharmadam constituency by CPM workers impersonating the voters who failed to turn up or those who translocated.
