Ponguleti visits Gandhi Bhavan, thanks party
Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy welcomed new entrant into the Congress Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who visited Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.
Revanth Reddy congratulated him on being the campaign committee co-chairman. “Jupally Krishna Rao will shortly join the party. The joining meeting in Mahabubnagar has been delayed owing to heavy rains. We will hold a mega meeting soon,” he added.
Addressing a press conference, Srinivas Reddy said, “I thank the AICC and the PCC for giving me the opportunity to bring the Congress to power. Telangana state should be rid of the autocratic rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family. Many schemes are being launched but not implemented. The expected development is not happening.”
Alleging political vendetta on a survey being conducted on SR Gardens property, he said, “The facility was constructed 13 years back. Why was no survey done all these years? Attempts are being made to demolish the property. I approached the court to put a full stop to this. If a probe concludes that I have encroached land I will hand over the entire property. How can facts change whether I am with the BRS or not? The increasing attacks on the party only indicate that the graph of the Congress has risen. Will anyone believe that I would encroach upon 20 guntas of land?.”
Srinivas Reddy also met AICC in-charge Manikrao Thakre and AICC secretary Rohit Chaudhary.
