Belagavi: Instead of pressuring the Centre for waiver of farmer loans and implementation of Kalasa-Banduri project, state BJP leaders are launching unnecessary protests just because the assembly elections are nearing, said Congress MLC V.S. Ugrappa.
The clueless BJP leaders had to be woken up from their slumber by party president Amit Shah so that they start poll preparations, said Mr Ugrappa, adding that people who were aware of the BJP's ‘drama,’ would teach them a fitting lesson in the elections.
After assuring an all-party meeting that they would persuade the BJP governments in Maharashtra and Goa to implement the Kalasa-Banduri project, BJP leaders did not show any resolve to do it, said.
