KADAPA: Kadapa district administration has undertaken Operation All Clear to free government lands from those who have illegally occupied them.

Under the special operation headed by sub-collector Ketan Garg, officials have already taken back 350 acres of land in the Rajampet revenue division.

Preparations are underway to launch the next phase of this operation.
According to officials, one village of each mandal has been selected for examining of land records. Details of those who have illegally encroached government lands are being collected. Such lands are then being taken back from their illegal occupants. Illegal entries made in this regard are being removed from online records and passbooks also are being cancelled.

A special control room has been set up in Rajampet sub-collector's office to oversee Operation All Clear. A team of officials is examining old land records to identify government lands. It is then being checked under whose name these lands are now. They are then verifying how the respective lands have gone to new owners. Wherever it is found that government lands have been illegally occupied, eviction orders are being issued before resuming the lands.

Instructions have gone from the collectorate to all tahsildars in this regard.
