HYDERABAD: Within a month of former MP V. Hanumantha Rao giving a representation to mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, road repair works that were pending for several months were completed in Bagh Amberpet division. In a letter addressed to the Mayor on August 26, he brought to her notice that several roads in the division remained dug up for the past five to six months.

"Though these roads were dug in order to lay new roads, there was no initiative to commence new road works. The locals are facing a lot of hardships due to the bad shape of roads," he wrote. The roads including the one from the red building to Gandhi statue, Maisamma temple to Gowda Sangham building and some other internal roads were repaired.
