My Bike Has More Seats Than What Congress Will Win: Owaisi
Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday ridiculed the Congress’ election campaign in Telangana, led by its leader Rahul Gandhi, saying “my Royal Enfield has more seats than what the Congress will have in Telangana Assembly.”
Owaisi, who has a collection of motorcycles and is passionate about riding, took to X (formerly Twitter) in reaction to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s campaign in Mulugu district on Wednesday. He also slammed the BJP-RSS combine, saying they would also fare poorly in polls.
Referring to how Congress called AIMIM the ‘B-Team’ for every other party in the state, Owaisi said: “As predicted Rahul baba’s ‘B-Team’ rona has begun. Why did he gift his Amethi seat to BJP? And why is BJP so weak in Telangana if it has B-Teams here? Why did Baba have to go to Wayanad to find a ‘safe seat?”
Meanwhile, an MIM leader from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh filed a case in a local court there against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Muslims by gifting a puppy that he named ‘Noorie’ to his mother Sonia Gandhi.
In his petition, Mohammad Farhan said the dog’s name hurt his religious sentiments as the word ‘Noorie’ was specifically related to Islam and was mentioned in the Quran.
According to agency reports, the case was filed on Monday, seeking an FIR against Rahul Gandhi, who brought the pup to Delhi from Goa and gifted it to his mother. Farhan’s lawyer said that his client had advised Rahul Gandhi to change the name of the puppy and apologise, but failed to elicit a response from the Congress leader.
