Raja Singh dares Owaisi to contest from Goshamahal
Hyderabad: Throwing a challenge at AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, T. Raja Singh dared him to contest from the Goshamahal constituency, which Singh represents. By not fielding its candidate, the MIM is trying to facilitate the victory of the BRS candidate.
Quoting TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, who had asked Asaduddin why he did not wish to contest from Goshamahal, Raja Singh said, “Owaisi does not have the guts to question or contest against the ruling party. He hobnobs with the party in power and resorts to illegal businesses. That has been his practice. The party had earlier allied with the Congress and the TD. While he claims to be a champion of minorities, he is responsible for the backwardness of Muslims.”
Going further, he said, “I don’t care about the Muslims and I don’t ask for their votes. They don’t vote for me and I don’t want their votes. How much more money will you earn? Either you contest in my constituency or field your brother (Akbaruddin). I will see that you don’t get any votes. We will trounce you at the polls.”
