Bandi demands KCR’s apology for attack on Dharmapuri’s house
HYDERABAD: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao tender an apology for the attack on the residence of Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind by TRS workers which he alleged too place at the behest of MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
Rao had failed on all fronts, including in restraining his daughter from going out of control politically, Sanjay alleged.
Speaking to reporters after visiting the residence of Arvind here on Saturday, Sanjay said that Rao should react to the incident and initiate action against the perpetrators. With the help of police, TRS goons attacked the BJP MP’s residence, he alleged.
Sanjay also demanded action against police officers who failed to prevent the attack. He said that some police officers, “who were acting as TRS agents,” should start wearing pink clothes instead of the uniform.
“The culture of physical attacks is not good in politics. I will strongly oppose it, even if BJP activists indulge in such excesses,” he said.
The Chief Minister should concentrate on fulfilling his election promises instead of hatching conspiracies against opposition parties, he said, adding that the people are readying to teach a lesson to the Kalvakuntla family.
Sanjay said that he had taken the issue to the notice of Union home minister Amit Shah. “We also explained about the continuous attacks by TRS leaders on BJP activists”, he said.
On the SIT notice sent to senior party leader B.L. Santosh, Sanjay said that the BJP will always fight for the people and refrain from enacting dramas for receiving such notices unlike TRS leaders, who divert people’s mind to suit their whims and fancies.
