CEA praises Telangana CM for novel initiatives

Hyderabad: Chief Economic Advisor to the Central government Arvind Subramanian on Monday lavished praise on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and the Telangana state government for implementing novel schemes and initiatives.
He described the revenue land records updation programme of TS state government as the ‘Heart of Good Governance’ and said that it should be considered as a case study by the Harvard University. Subramanian also suggested that the KCR kits programme being successfully implemented in the state should be briefed to the Centre and said that it should become a learning point for other states.
The Chief Economic Advisor also suggested that the cheque distribution programme towards investment support scheme for farmers to be launched on April 20 should be made a nation-wide event and he would be honoured to be present on that day.
