Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and MLC T. Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that state government employees are facing discrimination in Telangana.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that government employees had played a significant role during the separate Telangana movement.

He said that it was unfortunate that the TRS-led government is depriving them of Pay Revision Commission (PPRS) benefits. There is no sign of an interim relief to them, although 15 months have elapsed since the TRS romped home a second time.

He found fault with the decision of the government to extend the term of PRC till December.

He wanted to know why their cause was not being highlighted by Minister V Srinivas Goud, who is a former NGO leader, and one who understood their plight. He demanded the state government to immediately extend the benefits under the PRC.
