MLC polls a verdict against three capitals: TD
VISAKHAPATNAM: Former minister and TD vice president Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao of Bobbili declared that TD winning three graduates’ constituencies in MLC polls is a verdict against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s plan to have three capitals for AP.
“Graduates have upheld the spirit of Indian Constitution by voting against Jagan,” Ranga Rao remarked. He said results of north Andhra, East and West Rayalaseema graduate MLC seats show that educated people cannot be taken for a ride with false theories.
Most importantly, YSRC’s loss from West Rayalaseema shows that people of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s home district Pulivendula and Kadapa are no more in his favour, the TD leader observed.
“This is an important development in state politics,” he underlined.
The former minister said by voting against the ruling party, voters of north Andhra have shown that Global Investors Summit is bogus.
Ranga Rao felt this is a good augury for Telugu Desam, as ruling party’s threats, intimidation and cash offers have not worked.
Congratulating the winners, the TD leader appealed to party cadres and sympathisers to prepare well for the 2024 elections.
