Mr Rao had previously visited Bengaluru to meet JD(S) leader and former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy as part of his attempts to forge a Federal Front, in April just before Assembly elections and extended support to the party.
Mr Rao also urged Telugu voters in Karnataka to vote for the JD(S) saying that both BJP and Congress had failed in bringing a qualititative change.
Mr Rao's presence at the ceremony will be interesting as the JD(S) has tied up with the Congress to form government and moreso because the oath-taking ceremony is likely to be attended by AICC president Rahul Gandhi, Chief Ministers N.
