Congress is vanishing from the country, says P Muralidhar Rao of BJP
Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya took a dig at TRS government for failing on all fronts in its two-year rule.
Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao on Sunday said the Congress was facing adverse political conditions throughout the country and had no future.
Speaking at the party’s Telangana state executive committee meeting, Mr Rao said the downfall of the Congress had started with its humiliating defeat in 2014 general elections.
“The Congress is being rejected by all sections of the people. They are looking at the BJP as the only alternative national party," he said. Mr Rao said the people had entrusted the future of country with the BJP with the strong belief that it was the only party that could safeguard the country’s interests.
Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya took a dig at TRS government for failing on all fronts in its two-year rule. “Instead of using power for development, they used it to encourage defections. Instead of boasting about new industries, it should clarity how many industries that had been closed down earlier were revived.” he said.
