PK, Naidu making baseless allegations: Botsa
Botsa said the onus is on Naidu to prove that there had been no hunger deaths or suicides by farmers during his rule
Visakhapatnam: Education minister Botsa Satyanarayana charged TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan with making baseless allegations against the YSRC government.
Addressing a press conference in Visakhapatnam YSRC office on Saturday, he accused Chandrababu Naidu of blaming the YSRC government for his complete failure as chief minister in his previous term.
“Naidu mortgaged the Special Category Status (SCS) and got a special package from union finance minister, calling it a great achievement. He even distributed sweets for the special package. He is now blaming the YSRC government for failing to get the SCS,” Botsa pointed out.
He maintained that YSRC government is bound by SCS and will achieve it.
The minister said the onus is on Chandrababu Naidu to prove that there had been no hunger deaths or suicides by farmers during his rule. “Can he deny the large-scale exploitation and loot by Janma Bhoomi committee members under his government,” he asked.
On repeated allegations of Pawan Kalyan about violation of laws at Rushikonda hill resort, Botsa said he has repeatedly been telling people and opposition leaders that it is the government that is constructing buildings on the hill through AP Tourism Development Corporation and no laws have been violated.
Asked about Pawan Kalyan's recent tour, he felt the Jana Sena chief cannot be taken seriously, as he has no knowledge of the current issues.
The minister said: “He (JS chief) is a celebrity busy making movies. How can he understand people's issues? He has been reading scripts written by somebody else. He has never spoken on real issues haunting the people.”
Botsa asserted: “We have achieved growth in GDP and improved health and education sectors, while extending welfare schemes to all the eligible families in AP during the last four years. All the allegations will fall silent after Telugu new year Ugadi,” he remarked.
