Damodar is CWC permanent invitee
Telangana state's Damodar Raja Narasimha was named a permanent invitee
Hyderabad: TPCC leaders who were hoping for their inclusion in the Congress Working Committee, for which a list of nominees was released on Sunday, were left high and dry, with none of the senior leaders figuring in the list.
Hopefuls from the TPCC include former TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, AICC secretary Sampath Kumar, Mulugu MLA Dansari Seethakka and senior leader C. Damodar Raja Narasimha.
Meanwhile, senior Andhra Pradesh politician N. Raghuveera Reddy was accommodated in the CWC, while Telangana state’s Damodar Raja Narasimha was named a permanent invitee.
Among other moves were the retention of T. Subbarami Reddy from AP, inclusion of Koppula Raju — former Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS officer and currently, national coordinator of AICC — as a permanent invitee, and the inclusion of Pallam Raju of AP and Vamshi Chand Reddy of Telangana state as special invitees.
Subbarami Reddy has been a parliamentarian for 24 years, serving in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. He was a minister in the Central government, served as the chairperson of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams for two terms and also was the chair for national and international film festivals. A multidimensional personality, he has made a mark for himself in politics, business, culture and entertainment, social service and spiritual fields.
TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated the leaders following their appointments and thanked AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi.
