Bandi Faults KCR for 250 Units of Free Power to Muslim Dhobis, Laundry Shops
Bandi said that the Telangana CM's move is aimed at protecting vote banks in the ensuing the elections
Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of displaying religious bias when implementing a policy to provide 250 units of free power supply to Muslim dhobis and laundry shops in Telangana state.
Bandi disapproved of the state government's decision, stating, "I condemn the state government's decision to extend the 250 units of free power scheme to Muslim dhobi ghats and laundry shops. This decision will lead to job losses for the Rajakas, leaving them unemployed and struggling."
He further elaborated on the diverse customer base of laundry shops, asserting that the Chief Minister's decision to offer free power supply of 250 units to Muslim Dhobi ghats and shops is a move to appease the MIM and its leader, Asaduddin Owaisi.
Bandi criticised the Chief Minister's approach, likening him to a new Nizam with religious biases and accused him of undermining the caste system within Hindu society in pursuit of securing votes from a specific segment of the population. Kumar argued that the Chief Minister's religious bias is negatively impacting the livelihoods of BC (Backward Class) professions.
The BJP national general secretary contended that this decision was taken primarily to protect vote banks in the upcoming elections. As a consequence of this decision, BC communities are deeply troubled, as their caste-based businesses have already been adversely affected by the encroachment of others.
