Hyderabad: BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday said the party was receiving a good response from the public to its 48-page manifesto.

Speaking with media persons here on Monday, Kishan Reddy said, “After the release of the election manifesto, several sections are coming close to the party, particularly the oppressed sections like Dalits. A silent revolution is taking place in favour of the party.”

He alleged that the BRS had failed to implement its promises made during the previous two election campaigns, and a desire for change was clearly visible. He said the Congress also had failed to fulfil its promises.

“People are preventing BRS campaign vehicles from entering villages. They are questioning the BRS leaders about a Dalit community candidate not being made CM, failure to do farm loan waiver, problems with Dharani, not filling jobs and grilling them,” Kishan Reddy alleged.

“The Congress was responsible for the deaths of 365 students in the first Telangana agitation and 1,200 students and youth in the second phase. People are not trusting the Congress as it has failed to implement its promises in both Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh,” said Kishan Reddy.

Stating that the BJP will stand by its word, he said they withstood all the international pressures and removed Article 370 and abolished triple talaq. “The Congress looted the state in the name Jala Yagnam and the BRS did the same in the name of Kaleshwaram. We will order an inquiry by a retired Supreme Court judge into all corruption cases after coming to power,” said Kishan Reddy.

“We have addressed all sections in our manifesto. We will extend good governance with transparency to the people of Telangana,” the state BJP chief said adding that a double engine government was the need of the hour for speedy development.

Explaining the promises of the BJP further, he said the BRS gGovernment was unable to pay wages on the first day of the month to the employees. The government would not run without selling liquor or selling lands. If the Congress comes to power the state will completely collapse.

“It was only the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government which has been offering 80,000 to one lakh jobs every month to the unemployed. We will commence filling of jobs in a transparent manner within six months after coming to power,” he said.

MSP of Rs 3,100 will be paid for paddy. In addition to '18,000 subsidy on fertilisers, we will extend Rs 2,500 input subsidy and a native breed cow will be given to any farmer who seeks one. We will cancel religious-based reservations which are unconstitutional. VAT will be reduced on petrol and diesel. Vote for BJP for all round development of the state.”
