NIZAMABAD: BJP leaders took out a rally here on Tuesday demanding protection of  government lands in Nizamabad urban Assembly constituency limits. District party leaders participated in the rally from Dubba crossroads to integrated collectorate complex here on the bypass road.

Speaking during the protest, BJP state executive committee member, Nizamabad urban in-charge, Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, said that after shifting of the collectorate from the heart of city to bypass road, old buildings were demolished. He alleged that the state government was planning to transfer valuable lands of the old collectorate, district education office, tahsildar office and RDO to private persons.

Suryanarayana Gupta demanded that the state government should release a white paper on utilisation of government lands. BJP will not spare the BRS government, if it hands over costly government lands to private persons, he said. He criticised the district officials and said that they had failed to provide correct information on the use of government lands.

BJP state secretaries Palle Ganga Reddy, Aljapur Srinivas Reddy, BJP Nizamabad municipal floor leader Sravanthi, BJP municipal corporators, among others took part in the rally.
