BRS to wait for 100 days and come onto roads: Kamalakar
Karimnagar: “BRS party will wait for 100 days. If the Congress government does not implement its six guarantees by then, it will face a strong protest from leaders of BRS,” former minister and BRS party MLA Gangula Kamalakar announced on Tuesday.
Participating in the general body meeting of Kothapally Mandal Praja Parishad in Karimnagar district on Tuesday, he underlined that the erstwhile BRS government had made farming a festival in the state, when many treated it as useless.
“Congress came to power promising farmers that it would waive off their loans by December 9. But it has not yet kept that promise,” Kamalakar pointed out. He went on to say that even after the process of procuring food grains from farmers is over, the Congress government has not yet deposited money into the farmers’ bank accounts.
Continuing his attack, the former minister pointed out that before going to elections, Congress promised that it will supply people 200 units of power for free as well as uninterrupted power supply to farmers for 24 hours. Congress must fulfil this promise made to people, he underlined.
He demanded that various departments must take up and complete the developmental works taken up by the present Congress government, along with developmental works that had been taken up during the reign of BRS government.
Kamalakar said once BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao recovers from his illness, their party will draw up an action plan demanding that Congress fully implement its six guarantees given to people of Telangana state as early as possible.
