Etala wishes to contest Lok Sabha elections
Karimnagar: Former BJP MLA Etala Rajendar on Wednesday expressed his wish to contest the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing party workers at a meeting held in Kamalapur mandal of Huzurabad in Karimnagar district, he said: “Whichever the parliament constituency that the party leadership decides, I am ready to contest from that seat in the Lok Sabha elections,” he stated.
Rajendar said people realised that there is no future for Telangana under K. Chandrasekhar Rao. They have hence dethroned him in the recent assembly elections.
He maintained that Congress had not been in the picture at all four to five months before the assembly elections. But in later stages, Congress leaders spread false propaganda about the liquor scam saying BRS and BJP are one and sailing in the same boat. Believing this, people gave power to Congress party, he stated.
The former MLA said to prove that BRS and BJP are not one, he had contested against KCR in Gajwel. But BRS luring voters with money and registered a victory in Gajwel.
Rajendar appealed to BJP leaders and activists to remain with people, strengthen the party from village level and ready themselves for the parliament elections.
