VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam national spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram has termed the advisers to the government as “abettors” to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s “attempts to rob the state.”

“Jagan Mohan Reddy is not feeling ashamed though the high court has passed adverse comments against the system of appointing advisers to the government. The chief minister continues to appoint slaves as advisers to assist him in his shady deals,” he alleged.

Stating that the debt burden on the state has  crossed Rs 10 lakh crore, Pattabhiram asked, “Where was adviser Chandrasekhara Reddy when the General Provident Fund (GPF) of the employees amounting to Rs 500 crore was diverted by the government?”

He said the state government should come out with details as to how many days each adviser attended the office and what benefit the state got from them.

He said the governments in the past appointed experts in various fields as advisers to assist the administration. Jagan turned it into a rehabilitation centre. Some Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5 lakh is being paid monthly to each adviser besides car, staff etc, he said.
