Bengaluru: Amit Shah to galvanise BJP cadre today

Going by Mr Shah's itinerary, he will stay the night in Yelahanka before leaving for New Delhi on Friday.

Bengaluru: The  state BJP is getting ready to  kick off its month long Vijay Sankalpa Yatra in Devanahalli on Thursday with  national president, Amit Shah, arriving in the city to inaugurate it.

The yatra, which is part of the BJP’s elaborately designed campaign for the coming Lok Sabha poll,  will culminate in Chikkamagaluru district on March 19.

Besides BJP state chief, B.S.Yeddyurappa,  former Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, Union  Ministers, D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Ramesh Jigajinagi and Ananth Kumar Hegde, and senior leaders, Srinivasa Prasad, Jagadish Shettar, K.S. Eshwarappa, Govinda Karjol, Kota Srinivasa Poojari, R. Ashok, Prahalad Joshi, and Sreeramalu are expected to attend the event.

 Mr Shah is also scheduled to meet party leaders and workers in a village on the outskirts of Bengaluru as part of the BJP’s preparations for the coming Lok Sabha poll. He will address Shakti Kendra pramukhs at Avati village and party legislators and MPs at a hotel near Yelahanka, according to party sources. The BJP president is expected to meet the party’s state office bearers, those in- charge of the Lok Sabha constituencies, and divisional organising secretaries as well.

State party leaders will submit their reports to him  on the spadework done for the election so far and inform him about the series of meetings planned for the next two months, according to a senior BJP leader.

Going by Mr Shah's itinerary, he will stay the night in Yelahanka before leaving for New Delhi on Friday.
