Kottayam: The BJP has alleged that the CPM- DYFI men were attacking their cadres and their houses at Thiruvarppu and Kumarakom panchayats and said the police were not taking any preventive steps. The BJP activists led by district president N. Hari gave a memorandum to ADM C. Ajantha Kumary in the collectorate on Monday after they failed to meet collector C.A. Latha, who was absent.
At least 16 houses of its activists were attacked in the last one month, the memorandum said. The BJP workers also laid a siege to the collectors office. Ms Ajantha Kumary told DC that discussions will be held with the BJP leaders on Tuesday.
