Former MLA, N.Y. Gopalakrishna, who left the Congress to join the BJP, is being fielded from Kudligi reserved constituency.
Bengaluru: Political propriety and a clean record have obviously been given a go-by by the BJP top brass while deciding on its third list of 59 candidates for the Assembly polls, which was announced on Friday.
One of the shockers in the list is the inclusion of former Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat, who was an accused in the suicide case of his wife about a decade ago. After one of the 'illegal mining tainted' Reddy brothers-Somashekhara Reddy- was earlier given a seat in Ballari, another of the Reddy brothers, Karunakar Reddy, brother of mining baron-turned politician, Gali Janardhan Reddy, is being fielded by the party from Harappanahalli constituency.
Former MLA, N.Y. Gopalakrishna, who left the Congress to join the BJP, is being fielded from Kudligi reserved constituency.
The BJP's third list, also reflected a rise of the sons with Dr Gopal Karjol, son of former Minister, Govind Karjol, being fielded from Nagthana reserved constituency and Arun Somanna, son of senior leader, V. Somanna, getting the ticket from Arasikere. Also, Mr Saptagiri Gowda, son of former Minister, Ramachandregowda, is being fielded from Gandhinagar constituency.
