DK Shivakumar serious over leaders airing views on party\'s internal matters

Bengaluru: Taking a serious view of some of its leaders speaking on internal matters of the party in public, president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday asked his leaders not to go before the media on party matters.

He told reporters that “Leaders and Ministers should discuss with me or with the Chief Minister on matters related to the party and the State Government. None should air their views in public before the media under any circumstances.”

The KPCC chief comes after Congress party Chief Whip Ashok Pattan had stated that cabinet shuffle was on the cards and a month back Minister for Cooperation Rajanna had stated that creation of 5 Deputy Chief Ministers. After Congress came back to power in the State, even, Ministers M.B. Patil and H.C. Mahadevappa had spoken to the media saying that Siddaramaiah would continue in the post of Chief Minister causing embarrassment to the party then.

On Ashok Pattan’s statement, Shivakumar denied discussions taking place in the party on cabinet reshuffle and stated that “Certain discussions do take place in the party and all the discussions cannot be disclosed to the media.”
