AP to allot 68,000 TIDCO houses in December
Vijayawada: AP municipal administration and urban development minister Dr. Adimulapu Suresh reviewed the construction of TIDCO houses at a review meeting in his office in Vijayawada on Tuesday.
The minister said they have targeted to provide 1.5 lakh houses to beneficiaries by December. He underlined that 81,474 houses in 54 areas have already been completed and handed over to the beneficiaries.
Suresh instructed officials to take all measures to complete the remaining 68,526 houses by December 2023, so that they could be provided to their beneficiaries.
Officials informed the minister that currently 24,000 houses are ready for commencement. The minister asked them to make arrangements for the opening ceremony immediately, so that they could be distributed to the beneficiaries.
He asked officials to complete all infrastructure, such as roads, drainage, and water and power supply, before the houses in the area are handed over to beneficiaries.
Suresh asked authorities to refute false stories appearing in newspapers about TIDCO houses and let people know the facts. TIDCO managing director Ch. Sridhar and other higher officials participated in the meeting.
